  1. Absolutely love this idea, I have my cart assembled and waited to put the fresh water tank under the firebox. Could you please tell me how the water pick-up is plumbed and how to fill the tank when empty? This is my last hurdle (hopefully). These videos are amazing, couldn’t do it without you..

    1. Hi Andrew,
Drill a hole in the tank the same size as the outer diameter of your water line and push the water line through the hole. Cut a V shaped notch in the end of the water line so that it can’t sit flush on the bottom of the tank and stop the flow of water.

Dale ran a fill tube from the tank up through the bottom of his firebox. You could route the fill tube anywhere you want.

      Glad you like the videos!

  2. He shows ice-melt water draining into one of the tanks. Can this ice-melt water not drain into the grey water tank? Or are two waste holding tanks required?
Nice set up. Thanks for sharing.

    1. In a few areas you are required to have a separate ice melt tank. This is very rare but I thought I would include this feature for those who need it. If you are not required to have a separate melt water tank then just run the line to your waste water tank.

  3. Hi Steve, I’m planning on doing this mod but I would like to have plans to be submitted that reflect the change in freshwater tank location. I’m wondering if it would be simple enough for you to provide an additional set of plans? If not could you possibly provide insight on a drafting software that is easy enough for someone to pick up to make said plans?

Thanks for the great videos and any help.
