Steve, I’m doing a side serve.what are your thoughts on making the rear panel (remember a side serve) one big access door from the handles down? if that seems doable, would you have it swing from the top of panel down and use wire or chain for support? or would you have it swing up from bottom and use those little hydraulic shock absorbers to keep it up. Or do you have any other suggestions.

One big door would be cumbersome no matter how you hinge it. I would split the back panel in half into two doors that swing open like the cabinets in your kitchen.
