Maybe an alternative would be a crank up and swivel (folding) Jack, similar to those used on Boat trailers. Mainly for better leveling on uneven surfaces.

    1. Yes, that is a good option.

with this setup how do you tow this without foldaway or crank up wheel, wont the wheel hit the road? or if you make it short wouldn’t the cart be pointing down and uneven when unhooked???

Steve, I’m thinking 7 inch long u-bolts will work if they are pointing up with removable wing nuts and then attaching a permanent trailer jack on the longer trailer. How wide are the u-bolts. I’m guessing 3 inches, but I wanted to make sure. Thanks.

    1. You’ll have to measure your trailer tongue. I can’t remember, sorry.
