Steve my heater hose doesnt have screw in regulator do i have to buy a special hose to connect into the tee?
They make propane hoses without the regulator. It has a threaded fitting on the end that will fit the tee.

Can compression fittings be used instead of Flare fittings ?
Stick with flare fittings. They are more leak proof.

I have 2 questions. Can i use a regulator hose that has a split built in it. The ones that are used for grills that have a side burner?

1. Yes, you can use a split hose like you describe.
2. I don’t know what kind of end you have on your regulator hose. Try it, leak test it with soapy water, and you’ll get your answer.
Hey Steve my stove is flare fitted already but only takes a 16 ounce bottle of propane and I can’t seem to find a adapter for a bigger tank can I still use this one on my cart
Sure. Some folks refill those 16 ounce tanks from a 20 pound grill tank using an adaptor.
hey steve, how do i modify my cart to be electrical instead of propane operated?
Everything is pretty much the same, but instead of using a propane stove, get yourself a couple of electric hot plates. Don’t leave a space between the bottom of the pans and the hot plate, like you would with a propane stove. The electric burners can touch the bottoms of the pans.
What kind of fitting is on the heater? I was hoping I could run a tube with a flare nut on the end through the cart and make the “t” connection on the inside. Is that possible?
I don’t like fittings inside the cart. If they leak, propane will build up inside the cart. Not a good situation.
Hiya Steve! I’m probably late to the ball game, but I just found out that there are 2 kinds of Teflon tape, one for water, and one for gas. The one for water is white, and the one for gas is yellow. Just thought I’d let you know if you didn’t already. I’m learning so much with this build.
I think I remember hearing that a while back. Thanks Kyle. The white will work for both, but the yellow would be better.
